They are lists of the names, addresses and
occupations
of the people who bought the oldest graves.
The spellings used in the books have been retained, and possibly indicate the literacy of the person filling in the sales!
Until the older part of the graveyard is surveyed, it is not yet possible to tie up each grave sale with an actual grave, but is a good indication of who might be buried there.
The files are quite large, but are well worth waiting for.
